I wanted to let you know that there has been an extensive police operation conducted in the Wycombe area this morning resulting in the closure of the Flackwell Shakes premises in the village. From an advanced copy of a press release from the Thames Valley Police this morning, I can tell you that, following an 18 month confidential operation, at 5.30am this morning ( Thursday 12th November) the Wycombe police area supported by colleagues from specialist units ( search teams, Economic crime, interviewers) executed 20 search warrants at various locations in the Wycombe town, Bourne End, Loudwater, Marlow and Flackwell Heath area, plus one warrant in Cambridge. The investigation has been into offences of supplying controlled drugs and money laundering with ‘Flackwell Shakes’, a milkshake shop in Flackwell Heath as the focal point. There are currently 15 people in custody who will be interviewed throughout the day by dedicated interview teams. The suspects are white males in their 30’s. No doubt we will hear more in due course but I wanted to give everyone a “heads-up”
