Foodbank Donations.

As the Cherry Tree pub has been receiving more food donations of late than requests and as the “One Can” Trust is providing much needed help to a number of Flackwell Heath residents, it has been agreed that all donations in future will primarily be collected on behalf of the “One Can” Trust.

The “One Can” Trust does a fantastic job in the Wycombe area and, not surprisingly, the number of people being supported with food parcels has increased sharply over the last month or so – see figures below:

Average in December 2019 – 227
Average in January 2020 – 159
Average in February 2020 – 177
Average in March 2020 – 229
Actual April 1st – 7th – 396
Actual April 8th – 14th 427

As a result, I have sought Buckinghamshire Council monies to enable them to take-on two additional temporary part time staff and the purchase of two additional laptops for their use.

Meantime, the Trust is in great need of further food donations and so please help where you can leaving non-perishable donations on the table by the side gate of the Cherry Tree pub.  This will go a long way to helping the charity continue to provide a key social service not only for the residents of the Wycombe area but equally for many residents of Flackwell Heath.

Thanking you in anticipation.
