Interactive Dementia Awareness Experience – Christ Church, Flackwell Heath, Friday 5th November
Dear Sir/Madam,
Please see below information regarding a dementia awareness project that the Parish Council and our local Community Board is helping to organise and we would like to positively encourage you to book onto a session either for yourself or a member of your staff.
The experience is suitable for anyone who cares for or may regularly come into contact with people with dementia. That could include family or carers of people with dementia, nursing staff, emergency services, retail workers, community volunteers or anyone else who regularly works in our local communities. The experience offers people with a healthy brain the opportunity to experience what life is like for a person with dementia, through an interactive session held in the Virtual Dementia Tour mobile unit. This is followed by a fully detailed debrief which will include discussion of the experience and learning points that attendees can take away so that they can more confidently support people with dementia that they come into contact with.
There are four sessions being held throughout the day on 5th November at Christ church, Flackwell Heath:
9.30-11.30
10.30-12.30
13.30-15.30
14.30-16.30
To book a place go to our Eventbrite page at: Interactive Dementia Awareness Experience .
Further information is also available at: https://www.training2care.co.uk/virtual-dementia-tour.htm.
Places are limited so please book as soon as you can.
If you find that the session you would like to attend has already been fully booked, please contact makyla.devlin@buckinghamshire.gov.uk and we will add your name to the reserve list.
The experience is also running in two other locations across Bucks on the 3rd and 4th November, so we may be able to offer you a place at either of those locations, subject to availability. If you book a place and find that you are unable to attend, please do let us know so that we can allocate it to someone else.
