Today (23rd March 2020) Recycling Collections in Wycombe are suspended.  This includes both Paper and Card (Box) and Mixed Dry Recycling (Cans, Glass and Plastic in Bins).  Recycling collections at communal properties (flats / HMO’s) will take place.  To confirm, mainline household kerbside recycling is suspended today.

The suspension is due to driver and loader shortages.  We are working with contractors to secure extra staff so that any disruption is as short as possible. 

General Rubbish, Food and Clinical Collections

These collections are still happening as business as usual for these materials.

Some Serco vehicles are currently operating with just a driver and one loader. A typical round has a driver and two loaders. This means we may experience some delays to collections and residents waste could be picked up later than they are used to. Any large scale delays will be put onto the website.

Garden Waste Collections

The garden waste collection service is now suspended in Wycombe. We have published a news article and social media posts to explain this suspension to residents. Bin deliveries

In Wycombe, we are no longer delivering new or replacement bins (including purple sacks, textile sacks etc.). This also includes approximately 150 outstanding tickets, which will not be completed until we resume the service.

We will be contacting the affected residents to explain why we cannot deliver their bin yet. Our aim is still to deliver the bin(s) rather than provide a refund.

Bulky waste collections

In Wycombe, we are no longer collecting bulky waste. This includes new bookings and ALL existing bookings not yet collected. Advice on alternative disposal options is available online. We will be contacting all of the affected residents to issue a refund.
