Waste Service Update As At 18 July 2022

Here is the latest update from the waste service, including actions regarding very hot weather forecast for this week and missed bin collections in the south of the county.

Extreme hot weather –

  • Please note that the very hot weather forecast this week may have an impact on the crews making collections. Collections will start at 6am each day and crews will work until temperatures reach ~34OC (expected by 1pm).
  • Any work not completed on the scheduled collection day will be rolled over to the following day. A list of areas where work was not completed will be published online at the end of the day. Collections in these areas will be prioritised for the following morning and bins should not be reported as missed.
  • Residents are asked to present bins by 6am each day this week.
  • Buckinghamshire’s Household Recycling Centres will remain open as usual. Provisions are in place to ensure the staff have extra water, frequent breaks, water sprays and parasols to protect them from the extreme hot weather. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and advise of any changes.

More information can be found online regarding the extreme temperatures and impact on waste collection services.
