Christ Church is a caring Christian church community which is welcoming and happy to involve anyone – no matter what their age - in the wide range of activities (not just Sunday Service) that makes the church an active and enjoyable fellowship.
Our Main Sunday Services are at 10am and 6.30pm and are a mixture of modern and traditional worship with an emphasis on biblical preaching related to today’s world and modern living.
The Church and Church Centre provide a place for worship, fellowship,
meetings and prayer, within a lively evangelical environment.
Children of
any age are welcome, and for those who would like to come to the Sunday Service but feel their rather lively and loud little ones’ may disturb others – don’t worry the church even has an area where you can take your younger ones when they get over excited, where there are toys and the service is relayed to you via a TV screen so you don’t miss anything!
We support a range of missionaries from local outreach groups to as far away as Mongolia, and support fairness and justice in trade through Fairtrade.
Why not come along to ‘Coffee Stop’ which serves fairly traded tea & coffee every morning?

A STUNNING WEEKEND TO CELEBRATE THE OPENING OF THE
CHRIST CHURCH CENTRE, FLACKWELL HEATH
At the end of a three year fund-raising programme and
a year long building programme the new Christ Church Centre
is opened with a weekend of celebration.
Christ Church, the Parish Church of Flackwell
Heath, was built in 1932 and extended in 1959, to serve the
growing "village" which now has a population of
9000. Some 20 years ago the church acquired a second hand
pre-fabricated building which served well but became inadequate
not only for the church and community but had also reached
the end of its working life.
Following an extensive community survey which
highlighted specific needs among children, youth and families,
and among the elderly, the church agreed that a new building
would help address the needs of both church and community.
These plans were approved and supported by the
Diocese of Oxford and the Bishop of Buckingham, with endorsement
from the Chairman of Buckinghamshire County Council. Construction
began in September 2001.
Christ Church is a natural place for people
of all ages to come as they celebrate, mourn, mark new beginnings
and above all, worship the living God. This new building is
part of our vision to maintain the Church as a vital and living
part of the community into this new millennium. Those who
built the Church dedicated it to Christ. At the start of this
new millennium, with all its new opportunities, He remains
at the centre of all we do, as we seek to love God and serve
the community of Flackwell Heath.
The Project included:
Building a new Hall.
Building a new entrance to the church and link building.
Re-landscaping the church grounds and car park.
What is provided?
Two large rooms for meetings/functions, including provision
of youth and children's activities.
A variety of smaller rooms for counselling, mediation, teaching
and training.
A Welcoming area with access to the church and the new hall.
A feature rotunda for reflection and quiet space.
Kitchen facilities suitable for catering to a variety of
needs.
A staffed office enabling the Hall and Church facilities
to be open to the public in safety.
Toilets, including facilities for the disabled, young children
and baby-changing provision.
Improved parking facilities including spaces for the disabled.
The Project cost:
Approximately £513,000, much of which has been raised
and given through the generosity of people at Christ Church
and within the local community.
This total includes the support of three or four other building
projects at a total cost of 10% (a tithe) of our building
costs. We have supported so far:
The provision of offices and a building with land for work
among the poorest people in Ulaanbaatar, the capital city
of Mongolia. It provides for work among children and families
including basic schooling and food provision, primary health
care, support of small businesses, etc. Without our support
many poor people would have continues to suffer without
hope.
The completion of a Church building seeking to serve a very
poor district in Durban, South Africa. Without our support
it would have been many years before they could have completed
their building work and begun to serve their community effectively.
Up to two other projects will be supported over the next
two - three years.
