Flackwell Heath Community Association is a
registered charity (Charity No. 1044780). Its objectives are to work with local,
voluntary and other organisations to advance education and
to provide facilities to further the interests of social welfare,
recreation and leisure-time occupations within the village.
In addition, a Community Centre has been established in the
village for many years, moving to the current Centre in 1977.
The Centre has a large hall (with stage) (Max.
capacity 180) suitable for badminton, table tennis, larger
meetings, exhibitions, etc., and a smaller hall (Max capacity
70) for smaller meetings, parties, etc., a small kitchen (currently not suitable for food preparation use),
and toilets
The following Clubs and Associations use the
facilities provided by the Community Centre: -
Badminton, Children's Theatre Workshop, Ballet & Dancing
Classes, Good Companions, Karate, Silver Circle, Table Tennis,
Women's Institute. There are commercially run classes for
Slimming, Diet & Fitness, Pilates, Keep Fit, Painting,
Writing, etc.For a modest charge, the Centre can be hired
for: Amateur Dramatics, Bingo, Craft Fairs, Dances, Exhibitions,
Jumble Sales, Musical Events, Meetings, Private Parties, Tabletop
Sales, Wedding Receptions., etc.
