Some 30 years ago the final curtain fell on the original Flackwell Players. The lights went out and the stage was left empty.

The village amateur dramatic society had disbanded due to lack of members with the remaining few moving to the Forum Players in Bourne End. Now, however, Flackwell Heath Residents’ Association are seeking anyone interested in amateur dramatics in all age groups to re-form the Flackwell Players, including any original cast members or past members of other amateur dramatic groups, whose experience would be most welcome in the new Troupe.

Even if you don’t fancy the spotlight we also require technical crew, wardrobe, set builders, directors, choreographers, musicians; in fact – anyone with ideas to put forward! The aim is for the Flackwell Players to recommence in January 2011, with a meeting of those interested in joining some time beforehand in order to rebuild a working amateur dramatics group.
