Carrington
After School Club is a registered charity which provides
care and recreation for up to 32 children aged 5-11 years.
The
Club offers a wide variety of activities together with a
snack tea each evening during term time. A walking service
is provided for pupils from Juniper Hill School and pupils
from other schools are always welcome, if parents are able
to arrange transport.
Carrington
After School Club is registered with the Social Services
and managed by a voluntary management committee. The staff
include a supervisor and a number of assistants (depending
on the number of children), plus specialist sports instructors.
All staff are police-checked and suitably qualified for
the posts they hold.
A fee
is charged to attend the club, but as a non-profit making
organisation, the committee aims to keep the cost to parents
as low as possible. The Club has benefited from a number
of grants, including funding from the New Opportunities
Fund, Nescafe, Glaxo Wellcome, the Bucks Early Years Development
and Childcare Partnership and the Out of School Learning
Initiative, (arranged through the Children's Information
Centre).
